Default How much rain will it take to mess up the chattooga?

I fish the chattahoochie a lot, and anything over 1/4 inch seems to turn that river to chocolate. Does anybody know how much rain it will take this week to really mess it up for this weekend. They're calling for a good bit.

It usually takes a pretty good rain to color the chattoga. Check the gage, if it's over 2', don't try it.

Etter... besides the precipitation affecting the flow rate and color, there's also an air/water temp issue up there this weekend...

It's pretty much going to be in the 30's there all weekend long (it's probably colder there than in Clayton)... the water should be in the upper 30's or low 40s at best... this will definitely slow down the fish activity level... rain, sleet, snow, ice?... some of the guys here enjoy going in that type of weather... not me though... i'll wait for 60's... let us know how it goes.
