Default Netflix

Is anybody using Netflix? If so what do you think of the service.
Thanks

Cool

I used them for a few months. My experience was that at first Netflix sent the movies (from the Duluth distribution center) the same day movies were received. However, as I stayed with them longer the delays got longer and new releases more often were out of stock. I have read on a few consumer review sites that this is their policy - new customers get top priority, which seems odd.

Tried Blockbuster for a while too, the main advantage there is they also send you two or three free rental coupons per month.

I used to use Netflix and then after a couple months they would take anywhere from a week to ten days to ship a movie that wasn't even on the new release menu. Just about that time there was a story on the AP that said that an class action lawsuit has been filed against them in california for failing to hold up to the advertising that they have. Something about once a customer has been with them for a couple months they intentionally stop shipping as frequently.

SWF,
You drive by a Blockbuster EVERYDAY. What is your deal? So what you are not in town. Tell the boss to go to the dang store for a movie when she wants to watch it. Heck, she'll go to Target and pass 2 Blockbusters on the way, just to get a dish rag.

I'm in trouble now Tell the Bambino hi for me cause the pain that will be inflicted on me by her will probably not allow to say anything.

BTW, the boys say hi. Well Nathan says hi, Joshua says coo.

I have not used them, but know many people that do and everyone is happy with them. I have not heard the stories about new customers taking priority. What I read (several articles) was that less frequent customers were taking priority over more frequent customers. This is related to some customers (according to some articles) who were getting many videos a week..many being 2 at a time every couple of days. Probably anti-piracy. With the cost of DVD burners dropping, many people may just be coping the movies and not actually watching them.

As for blockbuster, they offer on-line service comparable to netflix. Then there's gamefly for video games.

I had heard that Netflix seemed to do a better job of taking care of newer customers and was wondering if it was true or not.
Huntfish, part of the reason that I am looking for an alternative is because the rest of the family does pass Blockbusters several times a day. Last month we spent $46.00 at Blockbusters and I'm not even a stock holder.

Default Blockbuster

We're in the Blockbuster program and like it. The movie coupons alone make up much of the cost, and their store return policy is great.
