I hiked the trail starting at 53 yesterday. It looked OK. I didn't fish though. My past experience there is that the heavy flows really scatter them. I've gone there and caught 50 and then a few days later been skunked.
I did hit the headwaters of Mountaintown before that though. Real good. Cooooold but good.

I fished yesterday late afternoon around the 53 bridge. Beautiful day to be on the water. Fishing was a little slow but I caught 3 rainbows on a little olive woolly bugger.

Me and a couple of guy went up sunday. We started at the 53 bridge and didn't do so hot. I think one of them caught 2 in about 3 and a half hours. We decided to go up to the steel bridge and then it picked up. We fished for about 45 min. an between 3 of us we brought 8 to hand all on black microstones and olive hares ears.
