Man alive!
I don't know what it's doing in N. Ga. but here in Columbus, the bottom has been falling out for 30 minutes or so. Tight lines! Jimmy |

At 5:30am I had a 4 year old running in the bedroom scared of the rain pounding, wind and thunder. Didn't last long, but it came down hard while it was here.
Not a good long soak, but beggers can't complain.

pretty scary down this way to MM36, I think a tornado came across my area and headed to your area.
has anyone heard of any rain amounts and how this rain haas been effecting the lakes? Is the rain just being wasted at this point since the ground has so much water in it, or has this last bit helped as much as the rain several days ago?

I don't believe that any rain can be wasted at this point, it has been too dry for too long. Even the gully washers seem to soak in pretty good, judging by Suwanee Creek's effect on the Hooch. In a normal year a big rain would kill the Hooch for many days, right now it clears up relatively quickly.
