I have been thinking of tying parasols, but too lazy. I just attach a unweighted zebra around 12 inches to a indicator fly. Let us know how they do. Should do well at Bowman's.

I normally go with that set up too coach. I figured I'd branch out and give the trout something new to look at.

Just jealous.
Good job. You know, I thought about tying a parasol and instead of yarn.....attach a smidgen of strike putty. |

Wow, I actually almost did that! I had messed up on the first one I tied because forgot to attach the yarn to the string before tying it in. It was a pain to do so after I was almost doen with the fly! I let ya know how it goes Fri when I hit Bowman.

Rocky,
your thinking just what I was thinking after fishing it yesterday. I wanted to fish a parasol midge yesterday but did not have any in my box(s) and planned on tying up some more tonight. Good looking ties ! Just curious, I see you have one with a bead on it, will the bead negate the effect of the parasol?

I'll add some floatant to the parachute and grease my leader about 6 in. up. That ought to hold it b/c it's a small enough bead. If not I'll just cut the chute off and use it like my normal Zebras. Thanks for the comment!
