Default Great Day at Whitewater on 04/10/09, except for the dog bite!!!!

I would've posted earlier but I am a newby and I couldn't post yet. I went to Whitewater last Friday before the storm blew in. I had great luck on olive WB's. I caught mostly bow's, 1 Brown and a couple shoals. When I was coming in there was a man throwing a tennis ball to his two black German Shepherd's. I tried to avoid them, but didn't have good luck. I almost made it to the steps before one of the dogs ran up and bit me in the butt. Luckily I had on neoprene waders because if not it probably would've broke my skin. I have a nice little bruise from the bite though. I know there is a leash law in Georgia but none of the dog owners follow this at Whitewater. Every time I go, there are people down at the river with their dogs not on leashes. I wish the rangers would start cracking down on these people so they would learn to use the "LEASH". So I guess watch out for the black German Shepherd's when at Whitewater.

I don't know if it is a new ordinance or not but do NOT, I repeat, do not let your dog off the leash in a Roswell park near the Hooch. The Roswell Parks & Recreation police are not tolerating it if seen. I saw them threaten fines for this to a couple folks on Saturday.

I guess your example may be why.

Did the owner of the dog say anything to you?

If I had a young child that got bit by a dog like that, I'd get my pistol out and shoot the dog in the head right in front of the owner, and then kick the stupid dog in the stomach. Then I'd welcome any smack talk from the owner with my fist. Did you not go up and give the owner an ear full?! I would have lit into him/her fo sho'.

I started to give the guy a piece of my mind and then realized he was a foreigner and couldn't understand anything I was saying. But I felt the same way about the pistol. Too bad you can't carry in the NRA areas.

Seriously? Shoot the dog in the head and then kick him? Why not just kill the owner? I don't remember reading that it was a child that was bitten. Wow, you are a bad mutha.

There could be a case for civil or criminal charges against the owner for not controlling his animal or ignoring the leash law, but kill the dog?

I mean really...I guess everyone is a bad*** when posting on a message board.

yea maybe calling 911 and have the animal tested for rabies or the guy gets a fine . but since no skin was broken killing is a litlle extreme

I have punched a dog in the face for eating my lunch before.

I would do the same for a dog bite.
