Nice tie, I've been fooling around with some caddis patterns myself. Never heard of krystal string, did you pick that up at Unicoi?

It is round but it flattens when you wrap it. I love the stuff.

Thought you guys might want to take a look at the ebay link. It is the crystal string that I use on alot of different patterns and I just won the auction for the starting bid of $6.99 with free shipping. That is a good deal for 10 different colored spools of it. Looks like they have plenty b/c they have it posted up again. Mine has shipped and is on the way so I can't wait to see what all patterns I can come up with using all the different colors.

Is this the same as what you got ? I know hard to tell from photo and they do not give you the un-stretched average diameter.

But 100m of 10 different colors for less then $3

Prowler,

curious to hear how much they send you. If it will be 10 spools like they have pictured or on the cardboard thread holder things.

Thanks for the link.

Sam I do believe that is the same stuff I think it is 100 meters (10 rolls 10 meters a piece)

The ones I ordered are 10 rolls 13 meters a piece and shipping was free. It is the same types of rolls chuck has so I went with them. They will last you forever. That stuff goes a long way since it stretches and doesn't take much per fly.
