Default Bluegill Itsabug Black Foam Cricket

Although I originally created this pattern as a Bluegill fly, the trout in the Great Smoky Mountains and in Bark Camp Creek in KY where I fish a lot for trout have really taken to this pattern. To date, an 11" Rainbow out of the Little River in the GSMNP has been the biggest trout I have caught on it, and I have caught more Bluegills using it than I can remember! Substitute Brown chenille/foam for the Body and Tan foam for the wing for a Brown Cricket pattern. Use the same colors with a Yellow chenille underbody for a Hopper pattern too!
