Florida Gator player, Chris Rainey arrested!
Oh wait a minute. He was only arrested for making death threats to his girl friend; official charge is aggravated stalking, but hey, that's only a 3rd degree felony. Man, for a second there I thought it was for something serious like selling a jersey on ebay or driving a scooter around campus with a suspened license. Now that's some serious stuff right there! Glad to know the young Mr. Rainey, who evidently holds the young women in his life in the most highest regard, does fall within that top 1% of the top 1% St. Urban promised to recruit when he came to Florida. Guess he just didn't say what that top 1% was the top of. On top of that, according to the Orlando Sentinel, the young charmer is only the 30th player arrested or charged since St. Urban came to Florida. I guess that gives us some insite as to what that top 1% is the top of. Reliable sources tell me the punishment is going to be swift and harsh; the young charmer will be suspened from playing on all 4th down plays when the GAtors play Vandy! And if he's good between now and then, that will be reduced to 4th down plays in the 4th quarter of that game. St. Urban does have to be consistent, you know, with other punishments that has been handed out over the years. Like sitting a player out for a half for trying to purposely blind an opponent while on the bottom of a pile. In all seriousness, though, is this situation really that much different than UGA's Metzenberger's case? Can anyone tell me what happened to him? Metzenberger's misdirected and stupid motives was just to get him a........well, you know. But TEXTING, "Time to die (word that rhymes with with "witch") u and ur", motive appears just a tad more violent if you ask me. Then when informed by the lady that she was calling the police he respond with, "Wait and see what happens when they leave." Guess he could have meant they would have a Bible study or something when they left. Yeah, that's got to be it. Afterall, he is in the top 1% of the top 1%, right? But in the final analysis, no way he should be kicked off the team for such a small little misunderstanding. Some people just need to learn to take a joke. Geez! ![]() |

I, the great wizard of the mountains, have gazed into my crystal ball and seen the future. In the year of two thousand and eighteen, ticket prices will rise to unmentionable levels as the US Prisions League football playoffs draw more spectators and television audience than the BCS and Super Bowl combined. Afterall, that's where are the really good players live!

When a significant number of the players on the field can be described as thugs, drug pushers, or users what else can we expect. This is not a comment on current times. My time at UGA in the mid 60's included a friendship with one jock. This stuff was normal then, it just didn't get reported.
