mess. To all I have offend or harped on about college football please except my apologies (especially fishinbub). I wear my heart on my sleeve for my dawgs and always have, but no excuse to get in a pissing match with fellow anglers. Let’s just agree to disagree. Consider me to be out of all bickering sports or non-sports threads. Best of luck to all of your teams seasons, except Florida (still can't root for them, sorry GB).

But seriously, anyone that gets offended by a little smack talk should stop watching football and become a soccer fan or something.

I don't see a reason to apologize. Banter between fans is part of the fun of the season. Being an Auburn grad, I've been on a roller coaster the last few yrs and to paraphrase Lewis Grizzard "I wish to live long enough to see AU win one NC". I get very mad after a loss (adult beverages help), but I'm OK in a few hours. If you can't handle the heat (and trash talk) then get outta the kitchen. BTW, my best friend is a Bama grad and we have been going at it for yrs. (He's not too happy right now..I love it!)
Our families still go camping and fishing together (his wife is an Auburn grad and his son attends UGA...) and have even attended some Iron Bowls together. On a closing note, I just watched a replay of the UGA/UT game, it appears the dawgs may be coming back... we'll see.

It ain't that I can't stand the heat, I work and have friends that are Tech, TN, FL, AU fans etc etc and my best friend is from Tuscaloosa. I just came to the conclusion that giving each other heck is all good but on here I would rather focus on a more posiive approach as well as on fishing. Create love not war as the hippies said.

P.S. Like the thread is titled I'm to old to bicker as much as I have to, especially not here, this is one of my outs.

Actually more than I ever would have thought. Alot of my friends are a bit older than I am and thier parents are old hipps and surprisingly huge sports fans, especially college football. Wierd, I know.

There is a nice thread about a ***** tournament going on. Many players are rising and falling like the BCS rankings. But ***** is "How About Go F&%$ Yourself" at least that is my understanding.
