Default New Delayed Harvest Stream?

I don't have any details and can't find anything online but I got a report today that Tennessee is going to create a new delayed harvest stream on the Hiwassee at Reliance. Since the TVA generation schedule has pretty much decimated the trophy section, this will create some new fishing opportunities. Mitigation as it were.

There is a thread discussion about it on the Forum at www.hiwassee.net. DH from Oct 1 thru Feb 28 (starting in Oct 2011). DH from Powerhouse to Reliance RR Bridge. No more 14 " limit for browns. No more "Trophy" or "Quality" Zone regs. Keep limit during non-DH is 7 with max of 2 browns.

Unfortunately this is true. Check out hiwassee.net and littleriveroutfittersforum about it. My opinion is well known about it but a lot of people will enjoy it I suppose.

Default Hiwassee DH at Reliance

I'm an outfitter on the Hiwassee at Reliance. Talk of the DH going in place has been going on for about a year. We've not yet received notice from TWRC of the new regs (although, they might not distribute the news), so I can't confirm the DH rules are in place. None of my guides can confirm the rules are in place. Last we've heard (strictly heresay), it would start on Jan. 1 and would be carried along the entire stretch from the powerhouse to the Reliance trestle. Call TWRC directly and get the rules directly from the agency.

It's on TWRA's website. It was voted on October 27th. I think it will start next year on October 1st not Jan.
