I have the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 and like it. It's not a high-end model, but works for me.
I paid around $160 back in August, so you may get a better price now.

Costco had one on sale for about 160. It's a fuji. I don't know how good it is.
They also have a Canon for 280.

A fishing pal has the Fujifilm x33 and really likes it, I am thinking about getting that model myself. Under $200 buck

I dont know if you are still looking/considering but i jsut purchased the pentax optio w90 i think the model number is. Its pistachio green i know that. Anyway i just wanted to say that the camera is a pretty good little trooper. I have not used a P&S in a while but it is a cool little camera. I used it in arizona to take some underwater pics that i posted on here. I will say that the display is total crap, however besides that i have been pleased with the camera. I beat the tar out of it this past week and it kept on ticking. I was also pleased with the underwater image quality. The menus are easily navigable as well. overall a good deal IMO at a little over $200.

Default Olympus Stylus Tough 6000

Although this camera is a little small and it's a chore to work all the gizmos while wearing gloves, it's waterproof to 10+ feet, shockproof from a 6 ft. drop and freezeproof (not sure of the minimal temp) It produces very clear images and video. They've come way down in price lately. If you are a Costco member they usually have very good prices. Friend of mine found one on Ebay for an exceptionally low price, also.

If you decide to go with one. also get the rubber protection sleeve and the floatation wrist strap that are available for it.
