There seems to be enough interest so we started a new forum. Went down to Tom Lowe's with Buck Henry and Marietta Mike for some trap shooting. What a blast.
We blame Cucarachfly for creating some more addicts! ![]()

That Roach did a baaad thing I tell you. I never even owned a shotgun---now I want every one I see. Cabelas Flyfishing Catalog has been knocked off the blue-room reading rack by Cabelas Shooting Catalog.

Ah ha! I see my little plan has worked. Just with that one day of shooting in Blue Ridge back in the Fall, I have scored a long coveted rare Hardy reel and an absolutely gorgeous Super Fine Orvis bamboo rod. And unbeknown to a yet unidentified target, I have my eye on another coveted piece of rare fishing equipment.
Rusty, don't worry about coming through, I've seen these guys shoot. On second thought, maybe you should worry. ![]() |

I know the feeling! I now have my eye on an AyA 16 gauge boxlock.
That was another fun outing down at the Tom Lowe range. Marietta Mike had the hot hand today and was dusting them with his new Benelli turkey gun. I think his final round was 23/25. For the three rounds, I shot a semi-respectable 14/25, 14/25, and 18/25. Trap is very easy to learn, but very difficult to master. I may end up spending a few buck on some lessons to help improve my hit rate. PS: not sure if anyone has suggested a firearm / shooting forum in the past? But if one of you did, you get all the credit for our new forum! We prefer the title "Freedom Fighters" ![]()

Thanks Tommy, that is my new AyA No. 2. Not really the ideal gun for shooting Trap; it will make a much better Sporting Clay gun as it is light and swings fast! But I just got it and am enjoying shooting it!

How far can you cast a 1/2" indicator, 3 split shot, and 2 heavy nymphs with one of those things?
