Question Morgan Falls / GA power Ramp?

Hey guys -

Does anyone have any 411 on whether or not the Morgan Falls ramp is open for trailer use yet?

I know they closed it at some point in the winter. Thanks for any info.

Kind regards,

CastRow

Last time I went there (Saturday a few weeks ago) the gate was locked as they were doing some dam repair.

My buddy at work told me the lower park was closed this past weekend as they were doing massive renovations to the shoreline/boat ramp area as well as the dog park.

i am curious to see if any trout migrated up there from DH. I have read in some book that the carp bite is pretty good on the other side. just not sure about this time of year.

Going back many years, we used to launch a canoe or raft fom MF and float to Cochran Shoals.

There was always more than one guy fishing for catfish at MF with stout tackle. Within sight of the dam I've caught bows and browns, largemouth bass, crappie, yellow perch and various bream species, plus one chain pickeral.

Of course, back then the water was much cooler than it is now.

No, unless you count the one gravel bar on the far side of the river, which takes a boat to get to.

The gate was locked Wednesday pm. Is the 28th a firm date?

Did GP expand the substation? If so why? Will GP change the Morgan Falls generation operation?
