I should'a been there!
A co-worker went an estate sale and called me on my cell. He wanted info on a Fox 12 guage. He bought the gun for $150.00. I once had a gun very similar to the one he bought. His is a 28" double-barreled Savage/Fox. It has one side, the left I think, that is "improved cylinder" bore and the other, the right, is "modified" choke. The one I once owned was basically the same gun, but with a 26" barrel. It was stolen out of a truck I drove back in 1973. Tight Lines! Jimmy |

Great gun and that is an amazing price. I think GregLS has one of those and loves it. Tell your buddy I will give him $300 for it sight unseen!

Yep--that was what Greg was shooting up at Jeffs place last Fall. It belonged to Gregs father-in-law and I think came from the early 70's era as well.

Jimmy, your co-worker got a great deal.
Yep, I have my FIL's Savage Fox B Series H 12ga w/ 30" double sight beads vent rib barrels and double triggers. I bet it hadn't had a box of shells run thru it till I got it and still looks like the day it was bought. I'm just it's keeper for the moment. They regularly go for $400-$450 on gunbroker.com I like the beaver tail fore end. The Fox B was the nicer finished Savage M311 and was refereed to as 'the working mans double'. A good article on this gun... http://www.chuckhawks.com/fox_B_shotguns.htm
