Default Team Competition at Frog Hollow

Guys I could still fill 1 full spot with a two man team and I have a guy who needs a partner if anyone is interested. Cost is 75.00 per team, or 37.50 per person. Guaranteed to fish morning session, then if you make it to the afternoon session you fish then too. Trophies for each member of the top three teams. Cheap way to fish some trophy water and have some fun!

Wish I could do it !!That's $37.50 to fish Frog Hollow and learn some new techniques that these guys use (that are very effective).

Default Steal

Guys, we need 1 more team on this bad boy, c'mon and make it happen. If nothing else, you will have an opportunity to observe some of the best fly anglers in the area and pick up some helpful tips, all while fishing Frog Hollow for less than $40! Literally can't beat it with a stick.

Do guides get to enter or is this for non-guiding anglers only?

Sure, guides can fish in this as well. The only stipulation is that you have to fish Fipps-Mouche rules for the event. Basic info on Fipps-Mouche is as follows:

Leaders: No loop to loop connections(only one loop is allowed), no furled leaders and all leaders must be tapered(they can be hand built, but you can't have a 15 lb section going to a 20 lb sighter back to a 15 lb section)

Flies: No brassies, no copper johns, no double beadheads. Wire dressing can't touch on the wraps unless it's covered with dubbing/dressing. Flies must be tied on tag ends minimum of 20"s apart(eye to eye when hanging) and tags must be 4"s or greater. All flies must be barbless

Lines: No strike indicators of any kind and no weights can be added to your line. All weight must be contained within the flies. Contestants use varying dry flies as indicators(must have a hook and be a fly, can't be a thingamabobber with a hook)

I'm sure some of the other guys will chip in with some more info and I know at first glance this may seem very restricted, but it really isn't that difficult of a transition. You can get by with standard tapered leaders and either nail knot them to your fly line or tie them to your loop with an improved clinch or other knot of your choice. Flies just need to be barbless and if you have some tungsten bead flies then that will overcome most of the weight issues. Hope you can make it as I think everyone will have a good time and you'll learn some new techniques from some great fisherman and great guys.
