Default Cherokee Report

Headed up to Cherokee last Saturday morning and had a good day. Visited the guys at REO before hitting the water. I made it there about 45 minutes before they opened, so I had a nice little nap in my truck. No moster fish (I didn't even see any, and that's abnormal for there), but caught 20+ bows, and a few pushing 20". Had a great time, and fished the waters I normally jump over,to find the big boys. Drifted most of the day, but threw on the sinking spool with a big nasty for a while. Had success with both....

Great place, but I hope the patrol frequents the trophy section a little more often. I saw litter, and even worse, corn cans laying around. Why people want to be so trashy, and low life, I don't know. Such a scenic place, why in the world would anyone want to tarnish it?

This pretty big guy was afraid we'd see him...

Not that I know of. I met two fellows from NC, and one guy from the NC tourney team. May have been one of them...

Was cold in the am, then it warmed up a little until the wind started blowing.

Kelbo - that would have been my brother, he fished Saturday as well, only got 4 good fish and a few smaller ones. From the pictures, you guys fished in the same sections....

"Puddinhead" sounds like it fits Mark pretty good!

Got to try and get him back down this way sometime.
