Default Great trip to Overflow Creek

We went to ️️fish overflow creek and some small streams in the higher elevations the past few days. We caught a ton of stocked ️fish in over flow. Mostly browns this time of year. In the higher elevations, I caught three wild fish in a small stream. The first two were 100% brookies but I released them back in their holes after my buddy and I looked at them. Pretty little fish. I was scared they would die if a carried them to the truck for a photo. The last ️fish was a pretty wild rainbow I did get a photo of. It was 8 inches long. My buddy thought it was a brookie too because of the white tips on the fins. They were all three very pretty little fish!

It was! We camped a Willis knob because it had full hookup and was only 15 mins from the overflow creek bridge. We used spinners on the brown & rainbows. Caught a released probably a 100 ️️fish between us. Kept a few to eat. I smoked some on a cedar plank Wednesday night. We plan on returning next year.
Oh and the first brookie I caught up in the mountains was my first spec. You'd thought I caught a 10lb bass. He was only about 6 inches long but very pretty. He's back in his hole until I find him next year. Maybe I'll have a camera this time lol

That bow looks like it has a beer belly. Is it spawn time for the bows?
